Green engage
a plus for the planet
Our commitment to the environment
- Energy management (gas, water, electricity, etc.)
- Use of energy saving light bulbs throughout the hotel.
- Use of solar panels providing 100,000 kW/year for water heating (corresponds to the consumption of 1,400 10W LED bulbs, permanently lit for one year).
- Use of district heating (DHC), allowing the reduction of CO2 emissions related to the supply and operation of a traditional heating system.
- The DHC also allows for the reuse of energy produced by the combustion associated with waste sorting.
- Hotel-wide waste sorting and recycling program: paper, glass, PET, used oil, food waste, batteries, etc.
- Reuse program for sheets and linens in the rooms
- Logo “Before printing, think of the environment” on all our e-mails.
- Reduction of printing and printers in the hotel.
- Use of FSC-certified paper (label guaranteeing responsible production and use of forest products).
- Use of biodegradable cleaning products with measuring devices.
- Use of the “Ambassadeur du Terroir Genevois” label, which emphasizes the use of local products (meat, fruit, wine,
etc.) - HACCP certification (HACCP is a system for identifying, evaluating and controlling hazards that are significant for food safety).
- Training and sensitization of our employees to our various actions in favor of the environment.
It’s the little things that make all the difference
- Our hotel is sensitive to the respect of the environment and sustainable development.
- With the IHG Green Engage program, we have taken concrete steps to reduce our impact on the environment. Here’s how you can help:
Towels
- Place your towels on the floor and ask to have them replaced.
- Place them on the towel rack to indicate that you will use them again.
Sheets
- Your sheets will be changed on the third day of your stay, unless you request a daily change.
RECYCLING OF GLASS, PETS, PAPER AND ALUMINUM
- Please place your glass, PET or aluminum bottles on the desk and we will recycle them for you. There is a paper recycling bin on each floor.
